There are currently three best antiviruses available:
AVG comes third in my list. It has got some good protection and interfae is good But the problem comes to he system being slow down. Unless you have a good system specification AVG wont run smooth causing your system to slow. It has link scanner built which scans the website you visit and this is the main reason why it is heavy.
1) Avast! Free antivirus
Yes! the avast free antivirus 2011 version 6 what can i say about it? its got a good interface, fast scanning and does not slow down the system yes u heard that right it does not slow down the system. Is it disturbing? the answer is NO! In it you can turn off any notification any time and it wont bother you. What makes it different from others? the answer is that it has Auto sandbox technology in which it opens program that are suspicious in its interface so that your computer remains unharmed! the other great feature i like is that you can scan your computer before even the login screen how is it possible you think? well with avast it is you can scan your entire computer in the boot screen before starting it you just have to schedule it. System requirements:

2) Avira free antivir personal 2011 version 10
Oh yes the famous avira free antivir who can forget it? with the best trojan detection comes avira. its interface and simultaneous alerts are the only problem you can not disable notifications and the inetrfae is just average. as compared to avast, avira uses more system memory but on the other hand this antivrus has the best detection level and cleaning its basic protection is quite fair.

To me, I guess avast is a lot better than all the three you mentioned.
But i am using kaspersky which is not bad either!!
